We are very saddened to learn of Marshall’s passing and our deepest sympathies to his family. I was so fortunate to have him as my sponsor teacher when I was assigned to do my student teaching with him. It was a wonderful experience with his kind, patient manner that made him a role model for not only me but for students as well. He was a true family man, colleague and friend. Rest In Peace, Dear Marshall.

I was immediately saddened when I heard of his passing.
I just passed his house the other day and thought of him.
He was my most favorite teacher hands down. My

I taught with Marshall for many years, and I had so much respect and liking for him. He truly embodied those characteristics that we think of as Christian. At the time I had a very difficult problem to deal with, Marshall was one of the first to visit me and offer help. He leaves a great legacy of kindness and loving service with the many students who benefitted from his teaching, his friends, and his family. He leaves behind many who mourn his loss, but he goes to meet many who will welcome him home. Enjoy your homecoming, Marshall!

I was Marshall's pastor for a short time. He was a remarkable man, full of life and vitality. Devoted to Pauline these years without her must have been sad and empty. It's comforting to think they now have had a glad reunion. (Rev) Walter F. Smith, Lisbon)

Mr. Smith taught me for 2 years in the early 70's. He was a true educator and he respected his students. He always had a smile and understanding of his students. A strong supporter of the Flying N's. My condolences to Brian and the rest of the family. He will be truly missed

Mr. Smith was one of the kindest, most genuine teachers I ever had. When my dad died, he came to calling hours and he remembered all of us . It has stuck with me . He impacted his students both in and out of the classroom. May you rest in peace. Sharlene Penny Class of ‘75

Mr Smith was always one of my favorite teachers. As was his wife and of course Jerry. Think I might have had a crush on him in my teenage years! My heart goes out to all of the family. Fly high Mr. Smith and join your other angels in the sky. Peace be with you all..........

My grandpa.. what a great, smart, loving, amazing man!! How much we will all miss you and your stories.. you always trying to brighten the room with your humor! No matter what had happen in my day my standing 10 PM phone call with paw always took my worries away. How much I will cherish those conversations.
I can say I have been truly blessed to be raised by such loving people as grandpa and grandma.. I always thought how will I repay you for all you have done!! I have lived my adult life now as if you were standing behind me and I will continue to do so because this is the person you have shown me to be, for that I will be forever grateful❤I'll carry on in life with a smile on my face but a tiny piece of my heart missing when we all lost you. Fly high with grandma and dad now. I know they've missed you. I love you.. oh so much!!
