Obituary of Jane E. Wasson

NORFOLK—Funeral Services for 61 year old Jane E. Wasson, a resident of 3 East High Street, will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk with Rev. Lee Sweeney presiding. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Jane passed away on December 5, 2017 at her home. Jane is survived by her brother, Jack Brewster, Ward, Arkansas; her sister, Barb and Steve North, Potsdam; her nephew Phil and Ralene North, Norfolk and her two nieces, Mandy North and her companion Stuart Mousaw, Norfolk and Stacey and Jason Montroy, Parishville and her beloved fur-baby cat, Lewis. Born in Bellevue, NE on July 26, 1956 to the late Clarence and Beverly Kavanaugh Brewster, Jane received an Associate's Degree in Radio/TV communications. Jane had over 30 years in her career in radio and communications. She began her radio career at KGMR in Jacksonville, AR where she was later promoted to operations manager. Jane later went to work for the Citadel Communications Company, working in Arkansas, Nevada and Texas. Jane ended her career at the radio station 95.9 The Ranch in Ft. Worth, Texas when she moved to the North Country to be with her family and to attempt a kidney transplant with her sister Barb. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond control, it never came to be. Jane loved attending Bingo and was very active with her friends with programs and activities at the high-rise.
