It seems like a lifetime ago when I first met Jane at broadcasting school. We certainly had our ups and downs through the years we were together. Amazing the path life takes you when you stand at that fork in the road. I'm glad to hear she had so many loving friends and how she touched their life's in so many wonderful ways. Doesn't surprise me a bit. I have wondered many times what our life would have been like had we continued on the same path. I'm so sad to hear of her passing and her family and close friends have been in my prayers since I heard the news. God bless Jane, we'll catch up one day.

If it were not for Barb's willingness to give Jane a kidney, we (up here in St Lawrence County) wouldn't have had the pleasure of knowing Jane. So, for that Barb I thank you for bringing your baby sister into our lives. I think Jane would be shocked at the effect she had on people. She was very humble. The stories I have read on here are all wonderful and they give anyone that knew her a look into her life in the south. I will always remember her smile. She was always smiling. To Barb and family, Jane's friends and all who knew and loved her, May God heal your hearts and make each day a little easier. Jane fought a good fight, the Brewster girls are strong women, but God had other plans for Jane. May you rest in peace Jane, until we meet again

I don't think I ever knew that Jane was born in Bellevue, NE, as that's where my father and his parents lived back 80+ years ago. Hard to believe I never knew that through all the conversations we had over the years. She was so helpful in helping me transition KAAY into the Citadel system when we moved into the KARN building back in 1999, and we ended up being friends and kept in touch over the years, as she moved to Nevada, Texas, then New York. And we'd just had another fairly long conversation on Thanksgiving morning, as she re-emphasized how much she really didn't care for the weather up there. It's not often you get somebody who was as good a friend as Jane, and I'll miss that horribly.

So sorry to hear of Jane's passing. I worked with Jane in the early '90's and remember her being so nice to me. It was a good team at KEZQ. Prayers for love and peace.

Jane was one of the first people I ever met in Arkansas when she was working with my father at KEZQ out in the beanfield near Jacksonville . I ended up working with Jane myself many different places: KEZQ, Foxy 99, and, of course, at Citadel Communications. She was a wonderful person, had a great radio voice, and was always good at her job, whether it was on-air or in the traffic department. We've missed her since she moved out of state. Now she'll be missed even more.

There's so many things to say that simply can't be put into a simple paragraph. Jane would be the first person to put other's needs first. With that, please insure Lewis is well taken care of. Unless this cat is the second cat named Lewis of Jane's, Lewis was found by us in 1997. He was a small, helpless kitten that we found on Labor Day and named after Jerry Lewis (the MDA telethon was on tv at the time). Nonetheless, she simply adored her animals which also included fish and various birds, especially Woody the parrot, at one time. Her animals were her children so please think of them at this time as well.
Many of the stories I will keep to myself. However, I'm sure Jane would want to make sure that her friends and family would celebrate her life without sadness. That means listening to Journey or the Grass Roots in her honor. Maybe sit down and watch the 70's classic movie "FM" which she absolutely loved. Others may remember her in other ways that Jane enjoyed as well.
I met Jane around 1988 while beginning work at KEZQ FM 100.3 in downtown North Little Rock. She was absolutely an inspiration for many of us in radio and many radio careers would not have been possible without Jane. The concerts, the late night Tetris battles, Memphis road trips and raiding the radio station's prize closet daily were some great memories that will never be forgotten. Jane was a fantastic person and will be missed.
Heartfelt prayers for Jane's family and friends.

Who knew when I walked into the doors of KEZQ more than 40 years ago, the first smiling face I met would turn out to be such a dear friend. Jane was the backbone of our stations for years. A patient teacher, an organized professional who loved her work and an enthusiastic member of our little radio family. I'll always remember the whole staff running to Jane's apartment to watch the Michael Jackson "Thriller" video air for the first time...seeing Jane all dressed up in a beautiful black tux for a formal promotional event for our stations....standing in front of the old studio in the beanfield between Sherwood and Jacksonville in the middle of the night flinging old '45's at the billboard because the power was out, we had to man the station and there was nothing else to do. (No...we'd never do that now, but we did it then.) I remember going with Jane to her Mom's house dozens of times, enjoying Bev's cooking, playing canasta with Jane, Bev and Jack, laughing and talking the whole time. So many more memories I can't share here, but I will always hold them close to my heart. Jane, you know how important you were to me...you know how loved you are and will always be. I will miss you, my dear friend. Much love to your entire family. Always, Bec

Jane was my boss at my first full-time job at KEZQ FM 100 in NLR, AR. I was the receptionist. She taught me so much about the radio business. I admired Jane so much. We spent a lot of time together on and off the clock. I remember that she enjoyed Mickey Mouse, family, good concerts, laughing, her car, friends, our Memphis trips, the radio business, and good music. She came to my recital and screamed my nickname during my performance and it embarrassed me and she thought it was so funny, lol! We had a lot of good memories. I will never forget you Jane!

I was so impressed. She had taken the time to bake a cake of me with headphones. For some reason, we were very hungry and the cake only last a couple of minutes.
