I would like to thank you for being a wonderful neighbor, I believe it was in 1972. You let me sit on your horse for the first time, I was only eight years old, and I remember that day like it was yesterday. I lived in the small gray house down the street from you. You will be missed and rest in peace my friend.

May it be your journey on
To light the day
When the night is overcome
You may rise to find the sun
a promise lives within you now

Gilbert ,you are sorely missed . I grew up with Gerald and his family . my brother and myself were friends with Florence and Gerald and Gilbert and Ronald Casey and Gary... We all enjoyed riding horses and just being friends and having fun like all teens do.. i remember when Gilbert was older and he sold insurance OH wow what a salesman he was too. I only imagine that everything he worked out at turned good. He had a million dollar smile that would warm the coldest of hearts. His personality was always uplifting and one of happiness as if he had a secret passage to joy itself . He loved hunting and anything to do with the outside and being in the deep of the woods, wandering around searching for what ever caught his eye. But i secretly thought he communed the best in the woods all alone with his thoughts and his creator. i am so sorry to hear of your passing Gilbert as we all were shocked when the news came .. Death rings no door bells nor does it give a notice of its untimely arrival. We are always taken unprepared and we always are so shocked and fearful when she lifts her veil to show us what is to come. We will never forget you nor your sister Florence.. i pray the good Lord smiles on you as you join them at the banquet table in heaven.. Our sympathies go out to your mom and brothers and step daughter as well as your sister in law and nieces and nephews.. extended aunts and uncles .. Our sympathies go to your wife and i hope she can find the peace she needs to pull her through this time ... Bonnie and Terry Frary and Jolene Kearns

BEV and the BENWAY family........I am so sorry for your loss..............I can't believe it. If there is anything I can do just let me know.
I've never done this before, I don't really know where to begin or end.
Gilbert was my friend.
I loved going to the farm ..........walking the same fields we walked in when we were kids………..laughing……partying………just in general goofing off………..we were the coolest people………. on top of the world…………….talked about everything under the sun, little did we know……………He was extremely proud of his land........ all the hard work he and BEV put into that place and the dreams they still had for it…………sad……..very sad…………
He was a true friend,do anything for you………………God I will miss his quick wit…I was on the end of that wit more than once……his big smile and that common sense about life that he brought to the table……………..his love of hot spicy food……………and his green thumb….......jalapenos out of the garden…and so much more………we had a very long history together,to short…..
Rest easy brother,
"TILL WE MEET AGAIN!"

Old Friend ;
You will be sadly missed by all who knew you .You lived life to the fullest with no regrets [ wish we all could do that ] Your smile and wit helped us when we were feeling down and now in these trying times.
They say time heals, for my family, myself and all the friends you made , it's going to take a long time .
Bev , we are here for you now, to help anyway we can, to ease your pain and ours too.
We love you .
Gilbert's passing has made us all step back and think just how short life can be .
My friend, a part of us passed with you that day/ but for me / I wouldn't of wanted it any other way.
We will all meet again somewhere and I can't wait for that time to come, to laugh , cry and share our life experiences again / I'm not saying goodbye / It's more like / till we meet again .
Rest in Peace / Love ya like brother . Woody
