Obituary of Steven A. Coleman

COLTON—Calling hours for 62 year old Steven A. Coleman, a resident of Johnstown, NY and formerly of Colton, will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton from 4-7 p.m. Mr. Coleman passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 at his home unexpectedly. Steven is survived by a son, Jordan Coleman, Clermont, FL; a daughter, Michelle Coleman Hogue, Winter Haven, FL; a step-son, John Vebber, Massena; his three grandchildren, Adam Hogue, Preston Caldwell and Lauren Coleman; his three brothers, Willis and Judy Coleman Jr., Potsdam; George and Pam Coleman, Morley; Richard and Tammy Coleman, Colton; his two sisters, Linda Coleman and Dennis Eickhoff, Colton; Lisa and Gordon Ford, Potsdam as well as several nieces and nephews. Born in Potsdam, NY to the late Willis H. and Gladys Tuper Coleman Sr., Steven graduated from Colton-Pierrepont Central School in 1972. He worked for the St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam, NY for over 20 years in the Maintenance Department. Steven was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed the Adirondack Mountains. He was an avid conservationist for the foothills of the Adirondacks and also enjoyed history and traveling. Steven also was a past Ham Radio Operator and a past member of the Hannawa Falls Fire Department. Memorial Donations in Steven's memory can be made to the Colton Historical Society.
