So sorry to hear about the passing of Steve. When I worked at SMH, he was always the person that you could count on. I can still hear his "boiler room, Steve" when he answered the phone. Somehow he always knew where to find a cup of coffee when the cafeteria was closed. As a friend you could always count on him. He knew how to tell a story and make you laugh. May the memories of Steve bring comfort during this difficult time for his family and friends. RIP my friend.

To Steve’s Family & Friends,
Please accept my sincere condolences on the sudden passing of your Dad, Grand Dad, brother, friend…. I can truly say that Steve was a friend to many who worked with him at St. Mary’s. I was the Director of Food & Nutrition Services and can tell you that Steve was a very hard working man who did whatever it took to take care of our maintenance needs, especially on the second shift. He was instrumental in helping us out of many jams, including helping us to clean up a flooded kitchen & correcting the cause of the flood! I remember one evening he brought his son into the cafeteria to introduce him – and I remember how proud he was! In addition to knowing & doing his job well; Steve cared about St. Mary’s and made me aware of any departmental or organizational needs such as service or safety concerns. He cared about people and often went out of his way to help someone in need. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Steve was great friend, he was always willing to help. When I was sick or just having a down day he would always bring me floweres or just sit and have a nice conversation. Very compassionate, would give you the shirt off his back. I am so sorry to lose such a great man. God has made a very special angel. RIP, love you.
