Mark Jones was one of the best professors I ever had. I developed a nice friendship as a 19-year-old student at SUNY Morrisville with Mr. Jones. He was extremely intelligent, tough, demanding, and certainly had a soft spot for North Country kids like myself. 27 years later, living in Dallas, TX, I can still elicit chuckles from friends by telling a few stories about Mr. Jones. You're very lucky if you remember with gratitude teachers you had almost 3 decades ago. I am very fortunate and honored to have known Mark Jones.

Mark left a big mark on my life. He was my basketball coach at NNCS and I even ended up being a High school Math teacher. We lost track of each other until I again ran into him at Higley. Always enjoyed stopping in for a cold one and some memory talk. He'll be missed.

Sue, Doug, Steve and I wish to express our condolences to the Jones family. Mark was a friend and wonderful neighbor on Higley Flow. He leaves us with so many happy memories, including when I rode with him while I was doing my student teaching at NNCS and how rightfully proud he was the day he won the "Senior Water Ski Competition at the Higley Association competition. Whether I needed tools, a suggestion, or a helping hand, Mark was always there. He will be missed. Knowing that he is now with Patty gives us peace.

To the Family of Mark Jones,
We first met Mark and his family when Dale took a teaching/coaching position at SUNY Morrisville in 1967. While Mark was a member of the Math Dept. he volunteered to help with many activities in the sports programs. Mark and his family became very close friends of our family where he took great pride while babysitting our three year old son how to express himself saying a couple of words that should not be said. We got the biggest kick out of it. Mark was a special person who enjoyed people and you enjoyed being around him. You could count on Mark being your friend and would be there to help you when you needed help.
Mark, Rest In Peace!!!
Dale and Pat Pease

My first year of teaching was at NNCS where Mark taught Math. He had a great sense of humor, and was an outstanding teacher. Although I have not seen him since 1962, His picture and name were immediately brought back in my memory. Please accept my heart-felt condolences and prayers for your loss.

My condolences to the Jones family with the passing of Mark. Knew Mark as a teacher, coach, neighbor in the Norwood-Norfolk, Morrisville-Eaton and Colton-Pierrepont school communities. Had the pleasure also of serving Kevin, Michelle and Brian as their elementary principal.
Mark definitely will be remembered for his impact on academics and athletics of many young people in northern and central New York State.
