MASSENA—Funeral services for 54 year old Anthony “Tony” W. Murray, 92 State Highway 37B, Massena, will be held Tuesday at 10 am at St. Andrew’s Church in Norwood with Rev. Msgr. John Murphy presiding. Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Norwood. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mr. Murray passed away Thursday at the Fletcher-Allen Medical Center in Burlington. Tony is survived by his wife, Nona, Massena; a son, Martin and Stacey Murray, Massena; a daughter, Liza and Sean Regan, Massena and five grandchildren. Tony is also survived by his brothers George, Syracuse; Vernon and Meribeth, Watertown; Morris and Sherill, Massena and two sisters, Carolyn and John Jones, Helena and Carol and Wayne Droppo, Washington State. He was pre-deceased by a brother Harold and two sisters, Mary McGregor and Patricia Pryce. Born in Potsdam on January 29, 1958 to the late Vernon and Dorothy Caskinette, he married Nona Taylor on September 26, 1976. He worked as a body and fender repairman for Route 11 Trucking and previously worked for Scott Ford and Parkway Ford. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion and the Amvets, he was an ASA certified umpire, an IAABO Basketball Association referee and a past coach for youth basketball. He enjoyed fishing, collecting basketball cards and spending time with his grandchildren. Memorial Donations can be made to Norwood-Norfolk Biddy Basketball.
