POTSDAM-- A prayer service for 74 year old Eleanor E. Uffer, 11 State Street, Potsdam, will be held Tuesday at 7 pm at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Tuesday from 4-7 pm. Ms. Uffer passed away Sunday afternoon unexpectedly. Eleanor is survived by her niece, Samantha and Keven Cashman, Fishkill, NY; her nephew Louis and Nancy Uffer, Toms River, NJ and her sister-in-law, Mildred Uffer of Brooklyn. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Louis Uffer and her sister Maureen Minor. Born in New York City on January 30, 1938 to the late Morris and May Kenney Uffer, Eleanor retired after many years of being an Art Professor at SUNY Potsdam. Eleanor loved traveling and enjoyed volunteering to teach English to foreign students and volunteering at St. Mary’s School in Potsdam, teaching art.
