John, please know that my prayers and sympathy are with you and Annie and your family.
I was 10 years old when Annie was born and she was only 9 years old when I graduated from college and went to work in Delaware, so I really never got to know her. There were a lot of cousins around my age (and Audrey's and Joanie's) and all of our families used to go to Grandpa Mattice's farm for dinner on Sundays, so we knew each other real well.
I stopped by your house a few years ago and had a real nice visit with Annie. I had met her at least once before that but never really knew her or your family, but when I left your house, I felt like I had known her for years. I wish I had.
I could tell that she had a wonderful family and a wonderful husband and that you both enjoyed traveling and each others company. My heart goes out to you at this time, but remember, that the time we spend on this earth is very short compared to the eternal time we will spend together in the Kingdom of Heaven where we will also enjoy eternal peace. May God Bless you and your family.

John,
I am one of Annie's cousins (Jim Mattice's son). You may remember that we met at Dad's funeral and at his birthday party at the nursing home. I was so sorry to hear of Annies passing. She was a favorite of Dad's and she always took the time to see him and remember him. He often talked about her and took us by your place to see the deer when we visited. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and her at this very difficult time.

It was a shock to read about Ann's passing. Being a neighbor for many years and her and I with a lot of the same feelings growing up made her passing so sad. I'm so sorry John for your sorrow but I know your strong and will be ok. Even though I havn't seen Ann for many years and we havn't been close, she will always have a tender spot in my heart.

Aunt Annie was one of kind. She was so full of life and she fought very hard. I will never forget the time that my mother and I visited and I had never seen a lighting bug. She went and caught one with a jar. She was the best aunt anyone could have and I will dearly miss her. I know she is with her sisters in heaven. Love Jackie and family.
