Mrs. Jenner was an inspiration for many people. She always inspired me to become a better person and for that I am thankful. As one of her former students I am so thankful I was able to be blessed with her as a teacher. Her laugh and her ability to make everyone smile in her presence was just a gift all in itself. Sh will always be remembered and never forgotten. Thoughts and love go out to her family and friends.

Dear family and friends of Peggy--
It saddens us to think that Peggy will no longer brighten the world with her sweet voice and her wonderful smile. These things will live on in everone's memories. She was a caring person who did so much for so many--in a soft and cheerful way. She has been a friend in our hearts for many, many years--since our children were babies. Please accept our sincerest sympathy to all of you. We hold you in our hearts.

As evidenced by all of the warm, meaningful notes that you have received here, Peggy was simply one of kind! Her warm, charming and caring smile, and calm, assured demeanor should serve as an example for all of us to live by. We will miss her smile, and the hugs, but find peace in knowing that now she will be with you every minute of every day. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time.

As I went to college to become a teacher myself, I often thought of Mrs. Jenner. My freshman year, a professor gave us the "assignment" to write a letter to our favorite teacher. I knew immediately that my letter was going to be to Mrs. Jenner. She often told me how much that letter meant to her. I am so glad I had the chance to tell her how much she meant to me. If even one of my students look back and think of me the way Mrs. Jenner's students think of her, it would be an honor. She will forever hold a special place in my heart and will always be my inspiration as I stand before my own students each day.

Mrs. Jenner was perhaps the best teacher I can recall ever having. Not just a good teacher, but a wonderful person, always caring and understanding. I remember running into her a few years after school, getting pizza in Norfolk, and we did a little catching-up. I told her how, in blacksmith design, shapes and designs from nature are so prevalent - and these same geometries make use of the Fibonacci series, a topic which came up in class. She was so delighted to hear that, not only was a student applying math and geometry in their work and hobby, but a topic we specifically covered in class with her. I got such a kick out of that meeting and her reaction. It's a memory I often enjoy even today. I haven't seen her in a few years, but I still feel the loss keenly. The world has lost a special and unique person.

Dear Peggy, Philip and Natalie's Family, and her sisters,
How do you remember 58 years?
It all started in first grade when we first met. By fourth grade, we were passing notes to classmates in Ms. Calnon's dictionaries. By Junior high, we decided the three of us would quit chorus but someone found out and that did not happen. High school was a blast. We became royalty at the balls and proms. You were always the queen. College found us commuting back and forth to SUNY Potsdam for it seemed an eternity. We got married and got teaching jobs. We raised our families together and they became close. Then we were back to the threesome and celebrated 50 years of friendship given to us by our families. We retired a few years later. We enjoyed our yearly visits in the fall to Lake Placid. We had our New Year's day luncheons every year at the Lobster House except this year at Claxton. We enjoyed our weeks on end watching American Idol and eating maple cookies and sipping our green tea. I feel so blessed to have had a very special bond of love and support all these years in good times and bad. Thank you my friend. There are no words to say how much I'll miss you. Rickie

I only met Peggy twice over the years, but from those two brief personal experiences I knew Peggy's heart was open and loving. I heard many stories over the years about the impact Peggy had on students in her classes. Some were funny, and others were touching, but in all of them Peggy's compassion, support and belief in the potential of her students shone through. Recalling Peggy inspires me to be a better person. I am so sorry I couldn't pay my respects at the calling hours or the funeral because of my job in Ogdensburg and dealing with my young daughters at night. "PJ", our nickname for her, deserves everyone's respect. I wanted your family to know how much of an influence your mother had on me when I was a student of hers. Her genuine goodness was reflected every day in her classroom and her smile was contagious. My mother passed away the year I was in her homeroom and she was such a comfort to me during that time. She must have affected many in my class that year as we dedicated our yearbook to her (Class of '86). I am so very sorry this illness happened to her. Why do bad things happen to the good ones? Will never be able to answer that, but she was a good one. Such a huge, upsetting loss. I am so very sorry for the pain you are all going through. I hope that keeping "PJ" in your hearts and all the memories of her will ease your suffering. I truly loved her.
