My fondest memories of Mrs. Sabad are from 5th and 6th grade at Norfolk Elementary school, when I first attended there. She truly treated me like I was one of her own children and I loved to go to the office to see her! I remember not feeling well one day in 6th grade. I still can see her face and hear her voice when she called my mom so I could go home.
I saw her a few years ago too and it was like a reunion. May you rest in perfect peace with the angels, Mrs. Sabad. Thank you for your kindness and love.

My Mom and brother just informed me of Katherine's passing and am so, so sorry. I have fond memories of her at Norfolk Elementary during the 50s, rendering help in the library and the many, many family gatherings - when the sisters got together, you knew there was going to be much laughter. She was the familiar, jovial face around town, a treasure in the Church and will be truly missed. Heaven has received another blessing. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

We have known Katherine our entire lives. She was such a kind and warm person and we feel so blessed to have known her. I can still see her sitting at her office desk some 50 plus years ago. We send our deepest sympathy to her family and I know she is looking down with Dominic at her side and smiling at all of us.

We have known Mrs. Sabad for many years. We lived just up the street from her for 20 years. Our boys delivered papers to her. As our sons got old they went and did work on her house. During the last year and a half, we were able to visit with her when we went to see my mom at Maplewood. She was a real sweet lady and will be missed by many, I am sure. So sorry for your loss.

I was a teacher at Norfolk Elementary School when this remarkable woman was the secretary there. It didn't take me long to realize as a new teacher whom I should keep in good graces with, the secretarial and maintenance staff. She was such a sweet lady. I enjoyed going into the main office and seeing her friendly smile and personality each day. She will be missed.

I also first met Katherine when I was a new teacher~1975. I have such fond memories of those years back in the old Norfolk Elem. Katherine was a wonderful mentor and resource. We had many days with stories and chuckles as her positive and cheerful outlook was such an inspiration.
It was always a delight to meet her in passing in her retirement years to catch up and share a great visit.
Katherine always spoke so lovingly of her family. I will treasure her memory. My condolences.

I first met Katherine as a new teacher in 1972. She took me under her wing and helped me get my feet wet. She called several of us her boys. She has been a good friend to me and my family through the years. We always kept up with cards and at least one 2 hour phone call each year. She was a great, caring, and compassionate lady.
