PARISHVILLE—Funeral services for 71 year old Sally M. Reed, of the Picketville Road in Parishville will be held Friday March 12 at 10 am at St. Andrew’s Church in Norwood with Rev. Msgr. Harry Snow, pastor, presiding. Burial will be held in the Chapel Hill Cemetery, Parishville. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood. Sally passed away Thursday evening at the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center. Sally is survived by her companion and love of her life, Gardner Brown, Pairshville, two sons, Ricky and Mary Jo Spencer, Parishville, Randy Spencer, Parishville; a daughter, Penny Spencer, Colton, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two brothers, Gerald Reed and William and Charlotte Reed, of Norwood, and her sisters, Mrs. Helen Butchino, Potsdam and Mrs. Lloyd Altha Sawyer, Norwood. She was pre-deceased by her brothers Guy Reed Jr. , Lloyd Reed and her sister Marion Newtown. Born in Norwood on July 16, 1938 to the late Guy E. Reed Sr. and Mayfred Randall, she graduated from Parishville High School in 1956. She married Kenneth Spencer on May 17, 1958. She later married Charles Kelly on July 22, 1972. He passed away on October 13, 2002. She was owner and operator of the Cedar Lodge Bar and Restaurant until her retirement in 1999. She was a member of the Potsdam VFW Auxiliary, the Potsdam American Legion Auxiliary, the Moose Lodge in Potsdam and the Parishville Amvets. Sally enjoyed listening to music, traveling and was a former Cub scout leader. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley.
