NORFOLK – Philip R. Tessier, 72, a resident of 4015 St. Highway 310, Norfolk, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. In keeping with Philip's wishes, there will be no services at this time. Philip is survived by his wife Donna, Norfolk; a son, Joshua and Lisa Tessier, Ft. Wayne, IN; his daughter, Joanna and Patricia Penny-Tessier, Norwood; his beloved six grandchildren, Jaydon, Karina, Arianna, Vanessa, Zachary and Hannah; his mother, Aline Tessier, Massena; two brothers, David Tessier, Norfolk and Paul Tessier, Texas and his sister, Joni Supernault, Massena as well as several nieces and nephews. Philip was pre-deceased by his father, Maurice.
Born in Massena, NY on February 14, 1952 to Maurice and Aline Cloutier Tessier, Phil graduated from Madrid-Waddington Central School and served in the U.S. Army. Phil worked for the General Motors Corporation for many years, working in Massena, Syracuse, Baltimore and eventually returning to Massena where he retired from. In his spare time, Phil loved the outdoors….he enjoyed being in the woods, cutting wood and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed watching t.v. as well, especially football and loved being around his family.
