RAYMONDVILLE— Maude P. Francis, 95, a resident of the Massena Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Massena, passed away peacefully Friday morning, October 4, 2024 at her residence. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services at this time. Maude is survived by two sons, John Delosh, Canton and Thomas Delosh, Raymondville; a daughter, Elizabeth "Liz" Bond, Raymondville; her four beloved grandchildren, Mary and Eric Fetterley, Brian Bond, Chad Delosh and Matt Delosh; three great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Brothers, Ryan Brothers, Devon Bond; one great-great grandchild, Makiao Webster and a sister, Dorothy White, Madrid. Maude was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband Merlin, a daughter, Mary Francis and her siblings, Carl, Gertrude, Annabelle, Cecile, Earl and Roy.

Born in the Town of Lawrence, NY on June 24, 1929 to the late Walter C. and Blanche Eva Steinburg Proper, Maude married Merlin J. Francis on May 4, 1946 in Louisville. He later passed away on August 12, 1961. Maude was a devoted homemaker and also cleaned houses for area residents. In her free time, Maude enjoyed bingo and listening to music hour. She found her most enjoyment came with spending time with her family and loved when they would come visit at the nursing home.
