NORWOOD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Linda L. Hayes, 74, a resident of 208 Maple Road, East Aurora, NY and formerly of Norwood, will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 1 p.m. at St. Andrew's Church in Norwood with Rev. Raymond Moreau presiding. Burial will be held in the Crary Mills Cemetery following the services. Linda passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 at South Buffalo Mercy Hospital. Linda is survived by a son, Charles and daughter-in-law Dale Hayes, Buffalo; her three beloved grandchildren, Tyler Colbert, Bailey and Marzhere Alexander and Charlie and Sydney Hayes; one great-granddaughter, Gracie Alexander and a brother, Richard and Susie Butterfield. Linda was pre-deceased by her parents, five sisters, Dorothy, Shirley, Marie, Joyce and Betty and two brothers, Bucky and Charlie Butterfield.

Born on November 15, 1949 to the late Lawrence E. and Margaret Gary Butterfield, Linda worked at Canton-Potsdam Hospital for many years, in the Environmental Services Department. Linda enjoyed nature and going for walks. She loved to visit with absolutely anyone and was a devout Catholic who loved nothing more than the Lord. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and she shared a special connection with her loving family and friends. She was especially delighted with her new great granddaughter Gracie.
