He loved the outdoors, and in his spare time enjoyed working on his hobby farm, raising beef cattle, and caring for horses. Other interests included gardening and helping in the production of maple syrup. He also loved the thrill of competition, from his early years at Alcoa Field in Massena, to playing games with his friends and family in the back yard. Whether it was hockey, summer softball or a spirited game of Texas horseshoes, he loved it all. There was nothing that made him more happy or proud as to follow his children and grandchildren in their fields of interest.
