Diana L. Allen Obituary

NORWOOD – A Celebration of Life gathering for Diana L. Allen, 57, a resident of 7725 St. Highway 56, Norwood, will be held at a later date to be announced. Diana passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024 in Massena surrounded by her loving family. Diana is survived by the love of her life, Jeremy Pruner, Norwood; a son, Frank Allen Jr, and his companion Heather, Schuyler Falls; a daughter, Ashley Allen and her companion Dean, Waddington; her beloved grandchildren, Sadie, Landyn, Lillie, Thora, Nevaeh, Sami and Chase; a sister, Tina Gonyou, Potsdam and her step-mother, Lillian Cuthbert, Norwood as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Diana was pre-deceased by her parents and a brother, Abraham "Skip" Gonyou Jr.

In her free time she enjoyed all kinds of crafts, coloring and painting. She had an amazing talent to make something beautiful out of whatever was put in front of her. Diana's favorite place to be was anywhere her family gathered, as they were the most important and precious thing to her. She also adored her beloved dog Coco. She often found peace near water, specifically the St. Lawrence River. Diana was fond of going on adventures, whether that was camping at Coles Creek, a week's vacation or just a car ride on a nice day. She loved listening to her music as loud as it could go and attending George Thorogood concerts. Born in Potsdam, NY on June 27, 1967 to the late Abraham "Sonny" and Patricia Farmer Gonyou, Diana attended Norwood-Norfolk Central School. Memorial donations in Diana's memory can be made to an animal shelter in your local community. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
