COLTON- Amber Rae LaFountain, 43, a resident of Colton passed away early Thursday morning, June 27, 2024 at her mother's home from the brain tumor she battled for eleven years. Amber is survived by her parents, Irving and Cynthia LaFountain, Colton; brothers Jonathan and Celesta LaFountain, Sandpoint, Idaho; Jarid LaFountain and Amanda Murray, Colton; her sister, Jadian LaFountain, Colton and her ½ siblings, Derek and Jamie Bradley, Colton and Heather Bradley, Texas, nieces and nephew Vienne and Charlotte LaFountain, Cayden and Sophia Bradley.


Born in Potsdam, NY on August 24, 1980, to Irving and Cynthia LaFountain, Amber graduated from Colton-Pierrepont Central School, Class of 1998. Amber worked in Environmental Services as a Chief Financial Officer for Research Applied Technologies in Potsdam, NY. While Amber's most recent years were spent mainly with her family, she had many friends and co-workers that loved her. Words cannot express what a special and unique individual she was. For anyone who was fortunate enough to know her they will not forget her. There will be no services at this time but anyone who was grateful for the opportunity to have known her is welcome to stop in and share with her family at her mother's home 5206 State Hwy 56 Colton, NY.
