Obituary of Margaret M. "Meg" LaDue

NORFOLK – Graveside services for Margaret M. "Meg" LaDue, 81, a resident of Elderwood of Uihlein in Lake Placid and formerly a longtime resident of Norfolk, will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 11a.m. in the Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk, with Rev. Raymond Moreau presiding. A Celebration of Life gathering will follow. Meg passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, March 6, 2024 at the Elderwood of Uihlein with family by her side. Meg is survived by her four sons, Raymond and Kelly White, Elmira Heights; Angus and Christine LaDue Jr., North Rose; Brian LaDue and Shelly Finch, Palmyra and Chad and Becky LaDue, Plattsburgh; her beloved ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Meg is also survived by two sisters and a brother, Kathleen and Al LaVigne, Franklin, NH; Loreen and Steve Maurice, Fairmont, MN; and Robert and Brenda Dupuis, Hill, NH and several nieces and nephews. Meg was pre-deceased by her mother, Margaret Guilmette Dupuis, while giving birth to Meg, and father Robert Dupuis, her stepmother Mary Stringer Dupuis and her loving husband, Angus V. LaDue Sr. Born in Whitefield, NH on September 22, 1942, Meg graduated from Woodsville High School in New Hampshire. She married Angus V. LaDue Sr. on January 12, 1974. Angus passed away on September 18, 2020. Meg worked as a seamstress for Tru-Stitch in Bombay for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed watching her loved ones play sports, gardening, preparing meals for her family and friends, and spending time with her grandchildren. In lieu of memorial donations or flowers in Meg's memory, the family asks guests to share love for others with random acts of kindness.
