NORWOOD—Graveside services for Marlene M. Boprey, 85, a resident of 35 Park Street, Norwood, will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Norwood in the springtime. Mrs. Boprey passed away early Monday morning, January 1, 2024 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital with family at her side. Marlene is survived by her two sons, Richard and Deborah Boprey, Indian Harbour Beach, FL; Scott Boprey, Norwood; her two beloved grandchildren, Remy and Luc; a sister, Sheila Navojosky, Clifton Park as well as several nieces and nephews. Marlene was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband Richard, three brothers, George, Raymond and Robert LaMora and four sisters, Alice, Auriel, Joan and Sylvia.


Born in Troy, NY on March 17, 1938 to the late Leo and Alice Kenney Scott, Marlene graduated from Cohoes High School, Class of 1956 and married Richard J. Boprey on May 11, 1958. Richard passed away on August 15, 2018. Marlene worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Francis Antonucci and also worked as a secretary for Mohawk Paper Mill, both located in Cohoes, NY, before moving to Norwood. She was a communicant of St. Andrew's Church in Norwood and was an avid Clarkson Hockey Fan.
