Please share a memory of Gerald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
NORWOOD – Graveside services for Gerald Wilamowitz, 80, a resident of 15 Maple Street, Norwood, will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 1 p.m. in the United Hebrew Community of Lake Placid Cemetery with Rabbi Alec Friedmann presiding. Gerald passed away late Tuesday evening at his home. Born in Brooklyn, NY on April 18, 1943 to Bernard Wilamowitz and Sadie Goodman, Gerald moved to the Norwood Maple Street IRA in April of 2018. Before moving into his Maple Street home, he lived at the Edgewood Road SUNMOUNT home. Gerald had a wild sense of humor and liked using colorful language because he found those words funny. A few of his favorite words were Beer, Hot Dogs and Whiskey. He also enjoyed it when others would drop something or act as if they were hurt. Gerald was of Jewish faith and had his bedroom adorned with various Jewish decorations. He enjoyed relaxing in his recliner and listening to the musical entertainment that came into his home. He would sometimes sing along to the music; especially his favorite songs. He is survived by his family and friends within the SUNMOUNT and NYSARC community and his advocate Ellen Reynolds. Arrangements are with the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood.
