I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Jim. He was a favorite cousin of my dad's and was always so very kind and jovial to me on my visits to the North Country. I always loved the Big Jim/Little Jim references. He will be truly missed by family and friends alike as he was a stalwart member of the community. My sympathies to his family.

Lorraine and I are truly sorry for your loss. We certainly have many fond memories growing up. Jim was dedicated to the fire service locally and NY State Fire Service. He was certainly well known statewide. Jim can be best described as the words in a song that goes like this: "It's not what you take with you when you leave this earth behind you, it's what you leave behind you when you go". Jim leaves plenty for his family and friends to remember him by. RIP Jim!

I am very sorry to hear about Jim, he was a close friend through the fire service and I enjoyed his companionship and his sharing of knowledge. As a Past President of NNYVFA myself I know the dedication it took to do any of the jobs in the Fire Service and as a Committee Member of FASNY, and I owe this to Jim as he was the one instrumental in getting me involved with FASNY and the Museum, I realize the time and efforts put forth for them. I would like to be there for his services, but prior commitments will not allow for my attendance. Thank You, Lawrence Hall Jr., Past President NNYVFA
