Obituary of Peter J. LaVine

COLTON -- Peter LaVine, 86, of Colton, NY passed away on Dec. 20, 2021. Peter was the youngest son of John and Mary (Hammil) LaVine. He is predeceased in death by his parents, and siblings, John aka Jack, Roger, Ann Reheume, and Margaret Clarke. He is survived by his siblings, Eileen Sellers and Lucille Pilacamp. Peter lived his life on his terms. He loved his family, his friends, and his independence. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved to hunt and fish. Peter's profession was a draftsman, and spent his career doing so, but he will be most remembered for his remarkable musical talent. I believe the term used by one of the local newspapers was "Music Man of the North country". Peter had perfect pitch, he could sing and play several musical instruments- but his harmonica playing was exceptional, and could draw a crowd.
