When I first started teaching at CPCS, Bernice was among the first to make me feel welcome. To walk into her office was to walk into a space where you were recognized and appreciated. Her heart spread light. I was sad when she retired, and am sad to hear of her passing. I have no doubt there are many that will miss her loving spirit.

I am sorry to hear of Bernice’s passing. She was always so friendly when our paths crossed. It amazed me that she remembered our children who started kindergarten at CPCS in 1987 and 1988 and always asked about them. May your memories bring you comfort. With sincere sympathy, Lorraine Gowing

My sincere condolences to the Campbell & Shea families. I have fond memories of Bernice at Colton- Pierrepont CS, both as a secretary & teaching me the fine points of the office, before substituting for her so she could take a vacation; also many chance meetings at Ronnie's. It was always a pleasure to visit with her. Love & hugs to all! Denise Bradley Collins

Sonny, Tim and Sue,
Our thoughts and fond memories of Bernice are with you. Sonny and Bernice have a very special place in the lives of my Mom and Dad, and that will never go away. I wish I would have been able to meet you both much earlier in our lives. In this Thanksgiving time, I am thankful that I did have the opportunity to meet and know Bernice Campbell.
Love and warm wishes are with the entire family.

Sonny, Tim and Sue,
My memories of Rainbow are filled with the Campbell family. What a wonderful time in my life. Riding in your boat and you taking my brother, Rob, under your wing with his love of water skiing. Bernice was an outstanding cook and many a meal was enjoyed at your table. What a group of neighbors we had in our little cove.
The last time I saw Bernice was at Potsdam Hospital in June 1983. Will always remember her smile and a "Hello, Lynn." Like it was just yesterday she had seen me and not years.
How fast the years have past. Keep your wonderful memories in your hearts and smile as you think her. Truly a special person.

Dear Sonny and Family,
Our heartfelt sympathies for you loss. May your fond memories serve you well for months and years to come. I have so many fond memories myself of growing up in South Colton,of Sonny and Bernice and the entire Shea and Campbell families. Bernice was my 3rd cousin once removed. Her great grandfather, Dave Boyd and my great great grandmother,Jane Boyd were brother and sister. I am 2nd cousin once removed from Sonny. His grandmother Sarah Partridge Fisher and my great grandmother Frances Partridge Sulivan were sisters.. I was so fond of Inez and Jimmy. Jimmy was so kind to my great grandfather,Wash Boyd. Jimmy took him to CPCS basketball games all winter long and he took him hunting when at age 84, Gramp shot his last buck.. My Mom was so grateful to Sonny always for saving my unborn life. He rescued her from having a serious fall when as a boy of 17 he caught her before she fell to the ground out in front of the "old' gas station Dad operated.. It preceded the concrete block building which was not constructed until 1956. Sonny and his brother Bob also rescued and retrieved my adventurous son, Conor from various boating mechanical/ navigational failures on Rainbow Flow back in the 90s. God speed Bernice; God Bless you all..
