Dear Cheryl and Sharon, I am sorry for the loss of your mother. She always made a point of warmly greeting me when in the school for your boys' events. Their fondness and respect for her was so sweet. She will stay in your hearts forever.

Colton was blessed with Liz as town clerk. She was pretty close to perfect. Frank & I enjoyed spending time with them in Myrtle Beach. Liz's Jokes were hilarious & Gormand's Drinks not so good. We really enjoyed their company. And Liz still had a beautiful smile even in Maplewood. May Liz rest in peace.

Dear Sharon,Cheryl and all of Liz's familyl,
We are so sorry for your loss but relieved that Liz's suffering has ended. I have many fond memories of Liz and Gormand and your entire Sullivan and Ford families. Gormand and Liz and my own parents were great friends; they knew how to have fun for sure. Liz was so patient with me when as a lad of 14 I spent about two weeks longer than I should have, tarring over the roof of their first house. Actually I was only partly to blame for the multi-shaded versions of black tar, pasted in random swaths--- Gormand supplied the material! The artwork however -- I must confess, was my own!
Liz was so kind and helpful to me back in the 80s when I did lots of genealogical work out of her office. I enjoyed the long chats with her about South Colton and sugaring and making lye soap as much as the information I was gathering from the records. The thing I will probably always remember most was her reluctance to judge harshly, her willingness to give second chances. I remember a discussion once where she was present --- we were all talking about a situation where a person had behaved very badly indeed. Most of us were laying our tongues to some fairly colorful adjectives and nouns. Liz-- all she would offer was that this fellow could be a "stinker"! I laugh, knowing that all the readers here have heard her use this word when most of us would be ready to haul out the gallows.
How this fine lady did love her family, her church, her community! May all of you be served well by your fond memories and your faith.
God Bless
Ed and Roxy Boyd
