In hearing of Willis' passing, I couldn't help but reflect on some of my best childhood memories, including times at the Stag Club...hunting, work weekends, hanging out at the reservoir, riding 3 and 4 wheelers. I also thought about the first time I got to watch satellite TV on the big dish at Judy and Junior's house, especially seeing HBO for the first time.
The Coleman house was always a welcoming place, with a cool drink or something to eat, or a place to take a nap. Willis was often a man of fewer words, but when he did speak it was usually something to learn or be informed about. And although it didn't always appear that way, in retrospect he was one of the more caring people I've met.
My condolences to Judy, Tammy, Fred, and the rest of the family.
