COLTON – There will be no services or calling hours for 83 year old John Thomas Watson, a resident of 376 Windmill Road, Colton, at this time. John passed away on February 18, 2020 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Joyce, Colton; his daughter, Shirley Smith, FL; his six sons, Carl Watson, Tommy Watson, Andy Watson, all of the Rochester area, Mark Watson, TX, Donnie Watson and Loren Watson both of the Rochester area along with several grandchildren. John is also survived by his two sisters, Doris Fox, Canada and Nancy Germain, SC. John was pre-deceased by his parents, his son, John Thomas Watson Jr., his daughter, Tonya Sue Watson and his sister, Marilyn Finley. Born in Brockville, Ontario on February 13, 1937 to the late John W. and Lorna Painter Watson, John married Joyce S. Walls on May 28, 1983. He was a self-employed aluminum welder in Florida and moved to Colton in May 2001. John was also a past member of Barney Pond and the Diamond Sportsman Club. He was a coin collector, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking in which he was very handy and made wooden bowls. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.buckfuneralhome.com.
