CHASE MILLS – Graveside services for 84 year old Elisabeth K. Haney, a resident of 183 Chase Mills Road, Chase Mills, will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 3 p.m. in the Brookside Cemetery in Waddington, NY with Rev. Lee Sweeney presiding. Elisabeth passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Essex Center in Elizabethtown, NY after a brief stay. Elisabeth is survived by her son, Neil and Kimberly Haney, Chase Mills and her two beloved grandchildren, William and Wyatt Haney. She is also survived by a sister, Bridget Avakian, Morrisonville.
Born in Trier, Germany on December 24, 1934 to the late Karl and Maria Hamm Porteset, Elisabeth earned her nursing degree in Germany. Upon settling in the north country with her family, Elisabeth worked for Hospice and also as a self-employed home health aide. She enjoyed helping others and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
