Obituary of Michael C. LaShomb

NORWOOD – Funeral services for 27 year old Michael C. LaShomb, a resident of Norwood and Hollywood, California, will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the St. Raymond's Church in Raymondville with Rev. Garry Giroux presiding. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mr. LaShomb passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 12, 2019 in California, a place he enjoyed very much and loved to spend his time. Michael is survived by his father Michael T. LaShomb, Norfolk; his mother, Mary Ellen LaShomb, Norwood; a brother, Jordan LaShomb, Seattle, Washington; his paternal grandparents, Clark and June LaShomb, Norfolk; his maternal grandparents, Andy and Claudia Barber, Norfolk, and his step brother and sister, Daniel and Holly Thimons, Canton and Vanessa Planty, Massena. He is also survived by his godparents, Vincent LaShomb and Joan Avery, his maternal aunts and uncles, Maude and Lloyd Simon, William Ryan, Shirley Ryan, and Lillian Casler; several paternal aunts and uncles, as well as many cousins and beloved friends. Michael is pre-deceased by an aunt Nellie and maternal great-grandparents, Floyd and Marion Ryan. Born in Potsdam, NY on August 2, 1991 to Michael T. and Mary Ellen Ryan LaShomb, Michael attended NNCS. Michael was a happy go lucky young adult who lived his life free spirited, living the Highlife and loved to socialize with his family and friends. He enjoyed acting and rap music, wanting to be a famous rapper one day. He also cherished his dogs, Beethoven and Buddy.
