NORFOLK—A Mass of Christian burial for 90 year old Cora J. "Josie" Paige, a resident of 1 Elm Circle, Norfolk, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk with Rev. Garry Giroux presiding. Burial will follow the service in the Visitation Cemetery, Norfolk followed by a Celebration of Life gathering at the Norfolk American Legion, Post #925. Josie passed away Sunday evening, April 7, 2019 at home with family at her side. Josie is survived by a son, Brad and Brenda Paige, South Colton; four daughters, Norma and Frank Bregg, Waddington; Debra Murray and Theodore Mitchell, Lyndonville, VT; Nancy and Scott Hamilton, Groveton, NH; Lynda Paige, Norfolk; her beloved nineteen grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Josie is also survived by her brothers Edward LaDue, Rochester; Angus and Margaret "Peg" LaDue, Norfolk and Charles and Marilyn LaDue, Norfolk as well as several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Irving, two daughters Mary Campbell and her husband, Colin and Patricia Phelix, a son-in-law, Paul Paige Jr. and her brothers Frederick, Albert and Joseph LaDue and her sisters Jeanette LaDue, Ellen Tracy, Margaret Simmons and Ella Simmons. Born in Louisville, NY on November 5, 1928 to the late Joseph and Jeanette Eurto LaDue, Josie married Irving E. Paige on May 14, 1947. She was a homemaker and also worked for Buffham's Upholstery in Baxterville and Morgan's Liquor Store in Norfolk. Josie was a communicant of the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk and was a lifetime member and past president of Altar and Rosary Society. In her spare time, Josie enjoyed reading, crocheting, bowling and watching wildlife, especially deer. Above all, Josie enjoyed visiting with her family and friends and loved reminiscing about the olden days. Memorial donations in Josie's memory can be made to the American Heart Association or to Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley and memories and condolences may be shared online at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
