NORWOOD – In following with his wishes, there will be no services for 72 year old Roswell D. Cassada Jr., a resident of 3541 Ct. Rt. 47, Norwood. He passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019 after a brief stay at the Essex Center Rehabilitation Home in Elizabethtown, NY. Roswell is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary M. Cassada, Norwood; his daughter, Dr. Jessie Cassada, Merrimack, NH; his step-son Jason Coller and Beck Tessier, Massena; his step-daughter, Heather and Brian Sullivan, Parishville; his son, Neil Cassada as well as several grandchildren, one great-grandchild and his half-brother, Ron Creson.
Born in Potsdam, NY on August 11, 1946 to the late Roswell D. and Catherine Glad Cassada Sr., he graduated high school and joined the Air Force. Roswell worked as a maintenance foreman at Niagara Mohawk until he retired in 2001. He married Mary M. Stacey on January 28, 1980. Roswell enjoyed the outdoors and liked hunting, fishing, and trapping. He also enjoyed woodworking and liked older cars.
