Obituary of Loretta S. "Petey" Regan

NORWOOD – A Mass of Christian burial for 88 year old Loretta S. "Petey" Regan, a resident of Hill Haven Nursing Home in Webster, NY and formerly of 12 Pleasant Street, Norwood, will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk with Rev. Garry Giroux presiding. Burial will be held in the Visitation Cemetery in the springtime. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Monday, March 25, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. Petey passed away early Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Hill Haven Nursing Home in Webster.

Petey is survived by her son, Kevin and Annette Regan, Potsdam; her two grandchildren, Jamie and Colin Merna and Derek Regan; her three great-grandchildren, Liam, Madeleine and Klara; a brother Joseph and Vicki Sabad, Oregon; a daughter-in-law, Susan Regan, Potsdam and a sister-in-law, Beverly Sabad, Bristol, TN as well as her beloved nieces, nephews and extended family members. Petey was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Patrick on April 6, 2010, two sons, Patrick Jr. and George, a daughter Margaret Regan; her brothers John, Frank, Jim, George and Alex Sabad and her sisters Irene Oaks, Bessie Woodward and Rose Paige.

Born in Norfolk, NY on April 20, 1930 to the late George and Rose Vari Sabad, Petey married Patrick J. Regan on December 30, 1950. Petey was a devoted homemaker and parishioner of St. Andrew's Church and enjoyed cooking and watching the Yankees. Most of all, Petey enjoyed spending time with her family as well as working on family genealogy.
