KNAPPS STATION—Services for 88 year old Jean M. Dyke, a resident of 3059 County Rt. 47, Norwood, will be held in the spring at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood and burial will be held in the Hale Cemetery, Norfolk. Jean passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Crouse University Hospital in Syracuse after a lengthy stay. Jean is survived by a son, William Dyke and his companion Peggy Poirier, Tupper Lake, NY; a daughter, Janet Dyke, Norwood; her three beloved grandchildren, Rhianna Randall and her children, Mackenzie, Camryn and Lily, Paul and Dawn Dyke Jr. and his son, Haiden and Jennifer and Nick Rosenberger and a sister, Lillian Kelley-Gage, Derby Line, VT. Jean was pre-deceased by her husband William, a son Paul Dyke; two brothers, Alfred and John Turowski and a sister, Helen Roulle.
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on August 14, 1930 to the late Anthony and Helen Kowalski Turowski, Jean graduated from high school and married William D. Dyke on August 26, 1954. Jean worked for Electrolux in Potsdam for 17 years as an office manager. In her spare time, Jean enjoyed playing shuffleboard and being active with the Norwood American Legion Auxiliary.
