Obituary of Sarah E. Powell

CANTON—Private graveside services for 36 year old Sarah E. Powell, a resident of 37 St. Highway 310, Canton and formerly of Potsdam, will be held in the Riverside Cemetery in Norwood with Pastor Casper Green presiding. Sarah passed away on November 26, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Potsdam, NY on July 27, 1982 to Edward and Susan Cooper Powell, Sarah graduated from Potsdam Central School in 2001 and obtained an Associates' Degree from SUNY Canton. She worked in as a cook in the kitchen for St. Lawrence University in Canton and previously worked at SUNY Canton and TJ Toyota in Potsdam. Sarah is survived by her beloved son, Ethan Parker, 11, at home; her parents, Edward and Susan Powell, Potsdam and a sister, Laura and Matthew McGillvray, Scarborough, ME as well as her many extended family members and friends. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Lisa C. Powell. In her spare time, Sarah enjoyed making jewelry, she loved spending time with her son, Ethan and was fond of owls.
