COLTON—Funeral Services for 82 year old Edward E. Fisher, a resident of 31 Symonds Square, Colton, will be held privately at the Colton Methodist Church with Pastor Brooke Newell presiding. There will be no public calling hours. Edward passed away unexpectedly early Monday, October 29, 2018 at his home. Edward is survived by a son, Kennon Fisher, West Hartford , Connecticut; a daughter, Kimberly J. Fisher, Colton; his two beloved grandchildren, William and Elizabeth Fisher; West Hartford, Connecticut as well as several nieces and nephews. Edward was pre-deceased by his parents, his wife Rosalie just earlier this year and his three sisters, Marguerite Rodwell, Sarah Frank and Mary Caster.
Born in South Colton, NY on July 10, 1936 to the late Earl and Marion O'Malley Fisher. Edward married Rosalie Caster on September 9, 1955 at the Baptist Church in Potsdam, officiated by the Rev. Orin Hess. Edward retired from Clarkson University as a locksmith. Edward and Rosalie had a special bond and were rarely seen without the other. He was a communicant of the Colton Methodist Church. Edward loved attending the Clarkson hockey games, traveling and camping with his family, woodworking and his dogs. As with Rosalie, family was of the highest priority as he enjoyed spending time with his family, children and grandchildren.
