Obituary of Hazel F. Felix

RAYMONDVILLE—Funeral services for 80 year old Hazel F. Felix, a resident of 31 Grantville Road, Raymondville, will be held Friday, September 21, 2018 at 3 p.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk with Rev. Rob Schirmer presiding. Burial will follow the services in the Raymondville Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norfolk on Friday from 12 noon until the time of the service. Mrs. Felix passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the home of her daughter in Massena. Hazel is survived by three sons; Lyle Felix, Raymondville; David and Roberta Felix, St. Petersburg, FL; George Felix, Raymondville; her six daughters; Mildred Felix, Raymondville; Lois and Claude Monroe, Massena; Ella and John Fasano, Seneca Falls; Victoria and Randy Slate, Raymondville; Mary Felix and her companion Ralph Mateo, Geneva; Donna and Paul Turcotte, Moira; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Hazel was pre-deceased by her husband Lyle, a son Victor Jandreau, a grand-daughter Ashley Felix and her ten siblings, Melvin Martin, Harold Martin, Napoleon Martin Jr., David Martin, George Martin, Gladys Blair, Mable Brothers, Ellen Simmons, Doris Nichols and Mary Martin. Born in Potsdam, NY on October 9, 1937 to the late Napoleon and Elizabeth LaPage Martin, Hazel married Lyle Felix in Alabama in July of 1974. Lyle passed away on January 23, 2011. She was a homemaker, staying at home and raising her family. Hazel enjoyed attending bingo and playing Yahtzee and marbles along with other games and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
