NORFOLK—A Celebration of Life gathering for 73 year old Carol A. Craig, a resident of 1140 County Route 38, Norfolk, will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Christine and Matthew Conte, 1140 County Route 38, Norfolk. Mrs. Craig passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital with her family at her side. Carol is survived by her daughter, Christine and Matthew Conte, her two beloved grandchildren, Andrew and Katelynn Conte and her brother, Thomas Planty, Brasher Falls as well as several nieces and nephews. Carol was pre-deceased by her parents and her beloved grandson, Ryan Conte just a few months ago, her brothers Ronald and Vernon Planty and a sister Elaine Stevens. Born in Potsdam, NY on May 3, 1945 to the late Gerald and Bernice LaDue Planty. She graduated from high school and a marriage to Arthur Craig ended in divorce. Carol worked for the Waste-Stream Management Company in Potsdam and Parishville as a scale clerk. Carol enjoyed playing on the computer with games but her most enjoyment came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
