NORWOOD—Funeral Services for 66 year old Lucille M. Phillips, a resident of 7718 St. Highway 56, Norwood, will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood with Rev. Lee Sweeney presiding. Burial will be held in the Riverside Cemetery in Norwood following the services. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mrs. Phillips passed away at the University of Vermont Medical Center on Saturday, July 7, 2018 surrounded by her family.
Lucille is survived by her husband of 44 years, Darwin, Norwood; two sons, Franklin "Bub" and Bobbie Jean Phillips, Norwood; Brian and Jennifer Phillips, Madrid; a daughter, Tammy Sue and Ross Wilson, Canton; nineteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Lucille is also survived by a son-in-law, Kevin Donnelly, Norwood; two brothers, Frank and Mary Pecore, Brasher Falls; John and Shirley Pecore, Virginia; her three sisters, Sandy Douglas and Dave Carbino, Massena; Sue Pecore, Norfolk and Rita Leggue, Brasher Falls as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lucille was pre-deceased by a daughter, Shelly Donnelly in 2010, a brother Ernest "Pete" Pecore and a sister Betty Ward.
Born in Massena, NY on October 22, 1951 to the late Ernest and Helen Mitchell Pecore, Lucille graduated from high school and married Darwin F. Phillips on December 8, 1973. Lucille worked as the manager of the Sugarcreek Store in Norwood for many years as well as she drove bus locally for the Headstart Program. Lucille enjoyed crocheting, bingo and camping, but her most enjoyment came with playing cards and spending time with her family.
