MASSENA-- A Celebration of Life for 67 year old Frieda M. Dissottle, a resident of 9 Laurel Ave, Massena, will be held at the Norfolk Fire Hall in Raymondville, NY on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 3 p.m. Frieda passed away on May 8, 2018 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital with her family at her side after her battle with health issues. Frieda is survived by her children Eugene Dissottle, Winthrop; Gerald Dissottle, Winthrop; Susan and Kris Compeau; Mexico and Nancy and Gordon Richards, Canton; her beloved 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dawn Paro, Norfolk; a brother, Robert Wadleigh, Washington State; her companion of 27 years, David Laraby, Massena as well as several nieces and nephews. Frieda was pre-deceased by her parents, a brother Donald Wadleigh, a sister Midge Beggs and two grandchildren, John Butler and Kayla Dissottle.
Born in Massena on November 12, 1950 to the late Loran and Dorothy Furnace Wadleigh, Frieda was a homemaker. A marriage of several years to Eugene Dissottle ended in divorce. Frieda enjoyed going to the casino, playing shuffleboard and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.buckfuneralhome.com .
