POTSDAM – Graveside services and a celebration of life for 67 year old Ronald A. Hoadley, a resident of 1353 St. Highway 345, Potsdam, NY, will be held in the springtime at the West Potsdam Cemetery. Mr. Hoadley passed away Wednesday evening at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Ronald is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marleen, Potsdam; his three daughters, Victoria Hoadley, Potsdam; Veronica and Harold James, Hilton, NY and Rebecca and Andrew LaFlair, Hannawa Falls; his seven beloved grandchildren; Harold James 4th; Gabrielle, Courtney, Sabryna, Steven, Allyson and Megan; two soon to be great-great grandchildren; a brother, Ernest Hoadley, Potsdam and a sister, Eleanor and John Cerow, Watertown as well as his nieces and nephews.
Born in Potsdam, NY to the late Earl and Beatrice Wait Hoadley, Ronald graduated from Madrid-Waddington High School and entered the U.S. Army, serving as a heavy equipment mechanic. He married Marleen Donahue on September 14, 1974 at the United Methodist Church in Amiena, NY. Ronald worked for Local # 332 in Massena, NY, removing hazardous materials for several years. Ronald had a love of the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing especially.
