COLTON— Memorial Services for 84 year old Robert D. Selleck Sr., will be held in the springtime. Robert passed away on Saturday evening, December 23, 2017 at the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg. Born in Potsdam, NY on January 4, 1933 to the late William and Nano Gilmore Selleck, Robert graduated from Colton-Pierrepont Central School in 1951 and served with the U.S. Army in Korea as an electrician. Upon his return home, he worked at ALCOA in Massena for a few years and then worked in the carpentry industry until his retirement. Robert was a member of the Colton Amvets and was a past member of the Colton Fire Department and enjoyed playing softball and thoroughly enjoyed the company of his friends, especially at the Amvets.
Robert is survived by his five children, Wendy (Stephen) Stowe; Robin (Cory) Moore; Penny (Phil) Poste; Robert (Shane) Selleck, Jr.; Jacqueline (Tony) Aumiller; his ten grandchildren, Jennifer, MacKenzie, Hayley, Betsey, Heidi, Kimberly, PJ, Jack, Arielle, and Holly. Robert is also survived by one brother, Dale (Janet) Fisher; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents, a sister, Alene McCarthy and his brothers William Selleck, Donald Fisher and Michael Fisher.
