PARISHVILLE—There will be no services for 84 year old Orrin R. "Marty" Martin, a resident of 9 Watkins Drive, Parishville. Mr. Martin passed away late Monday evening, September 18, 2017 at his home. Orrin is survived by his wife of 64 years, Thais, Parishville; a son, David and Charlene Martin, Parishville; his two daughters, Marjorie Goldsmith, Manchester, NH and Irene Martin, Parishville; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and sister, Helen Blaine, Saratoga Springs. Orrin was pre-deceased by his brothers Arthur "Sonny" and a sister, Marie Martin.
Born in Norwood on October 4, 1932 to the late Arthur and Jeni Kiah Martin, Orrin married Thais L. James on November 3, 1952. Orrin worked for Reynolds Metal in Massena for many years, retiring in 1998 as a Tapper. Orrin was a past member with the Parishville ATV Club and Weller Mountain. He stayed very active and enjoyed his time spent on the ATV's and helping on the trails. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
