COLTON—A Mass of Christian Burial for 83 year old Mary L. Caster, a resident of 100 County Route 58, Colton, will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Colton with Rev. Stephen Rocker presiding. Burial will be held in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Colton, at a later date. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Colton on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Mrs. Caster passed away Wednesday evening at her home. Mary is survived by her husband of 65 years, Paul, Colton; three sons, Thomas and Bonnie Caster, Eugene, Oregon; James and Linda Caster, Ogdensburg; Daniel and Karen Caster, Canton; her four daughters, Cynthia Erwin, Colton; Bonita and Bob Perkins, Seymour, CT; Kathleen Caster and her companion Rodney Regan, Colton; Pamela and Cecil Wilcox, Windsor, NY; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, a brother Edward and Rose Fisher, Colton as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary was pre-deceased by her two sisters, Sara Frank and Marguerite Rodwell. Born in Colton on December 3, 1933 to the late Earl and Marion O'Maley Fisher, Mary attended Colton High School and worked as a salesclerk for Fishman's and Kaplan's, both stores in Potsdam, for several years. Mary enjoyed knitting, making many kid's mittens over the years, helping out the Colton Fire Department in many various forms throughout the years and she loved to travel with her husband.
