NORWOOD—Graveside services for 79 year old Marlene A. Pettys, a resident of 65 Park Street, Norwood, will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Riverside Cemetery, Norwood with Pastor David Tulloch presiding. Mrs. Pettys passed away Wednesday evening at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Marlene is survived by three sons, Rodney and Barbara Murray, Oakhurst, NJ; David Murray, Massena; Kevin Murray and his companion Jane Sebastian, St. Regis Falls; her daughter, Robin and Kevin Russell, Moira; her six grandchildren, Chelsea Murray, Sloane Murray, Travis Deshane, Chad Delosh and Dakota Pelkey, Autumn and Eddie Cajigas, and Sarah and Nicholas Pennington; her six beloved great-granddaughters, Raynie, Aaliyah, Alexis, Alivia, Sydney and Simone as well as several nieces and nephews. Marlene was pre-deceased by her husband Paul and her three brothers, Richard, Larry and Douglas Worley. Born in Norfolk, NY on January 23, 1938 to the late David E. and Eva Myers Worley, she worked as a Developmental Aide and cook for NYSARC in Norwood and previously worked as a cook for the Sunset Lodge in Norwood and the Village Inn in Massena. She married the late Paul Pettys on April 2, 1983. Marlene loved animals, especially cats and enjoyed watching crime scene shows, crocheting and having a candy bar and diet soda.
