COLTON—A Mass of Christian Burial for 87 year old William S. "Bill" Mousaw, a resident of 21 Gulf Road, Colton, will be held Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Colton with Rev. Stephen Rocker presiding. Burial will follow the services at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Colton. Mr. Mousaw passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Bill is survived by his loving friend, Barbara Peters, Canton; two daughters, Billie Jean and Michael Lennox, Canton; Deborah Mousaw, Canton; his five beloved grandchildren, Shondel Boyden, Shannon Kenny, Danielle Lennox, Kristin Olmstead and Jonathan Olmstead; his nine great-grandchildren, Brandon Kenny, Beau Boyden, Zach Kenny, Mackenzie Lennox-Shehan, Bailey Dillabough, Isaiah Dillabough, Lacey Kenny, Madalyn Dillabough and Matthew Clary; three great-great-grandchildren, Layne Shehan, Alice Kenny and Kain Kenny. Bill is also survived by two brothers, Lawrence and Charlotte Mousaw, Florida; Daniel Mousaw, Arizona; two sisters, Jane O'Marah, Waterloo and Mary Buck, as well as many nieces and nephews. Bill was pre-deceased by his wife Mary Louise in 2000, his brothers Richard, Lee, Aaron "Pete", Michael, David and Jay Mousaw and his sisters, Shirley Beach, Frances Kannel and Pauline VanRyn. Born in Canton on June 29, 1930 to the late Michael and Estella DeGouff Mousaw, Bill married Mavis Leonard in 1950 which ended in divorce. He later married Mary Louise Perkins in 1980. He worked as a carpenter throughout his lifetime. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church and was a member of the Colton Sno-Skippers, Pierrepont Fire Department, the local Carpenters Union and the Potsdam Antique Car Club. Bill was passionate about spending time with his family and antique cars.
