Obituary of George Eng

NORWOOD—Funeral Services for 59 year old George Eng, a resident of 24 Baldwin Ave, Norwood, will be held Friday, May 19th at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew's Church in Norwood with Rev. Msgr. John Murphy and Rev. Andrew Amyot presiding. Burial will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery in Norwood. Family and friends may call at the Buck Funeral Home in Norwood on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Mr. Eng passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 15, 2017 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. George is survived by his wife of 34 years, Theresa, his four sons, Jonathan, Daniel, Zachary and Joshua and his daughter, Olivia. He is also survived by his mother, Lai Ching and his two sisters, Rose and Helen Eng, who reside in Woodhaven, NY. He was pre-deceased by his father. George was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 1, 1958. George obtained a degree as a draftsman/engineer. For the past 12 years he was honored to be a Bridge and Tunnel Officer for the Tri-Borough Bridge and Tunnel Authority in New York City, specifically on the Whitestone Bridge. He had many, many friends at his job that respected him as their friend and colleague. George's life focus was to take care of his family who he loved deeply. He was beyond proud of his five children and their multitude of accomplishments. He enjoyed going to their sporting events and took great pride in all their academic achievements.
