COLTON—A Celebration of Life for 52 year old Robert D. Aldous, a resident of 40 Symond Square, Colton will be held at a later date to be announced. Mr. Aldous passed away early Saturday morning, April 15, 2017, at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Robert is survived by his companion of 20 years, Rose Bagnato, Winthrop; his father, Robert and Sandra Aldous, Pierrepont; his mother, Sue and Robert Gerrish, Edgewater, FL; his son, Robert B. Aldous and his partner Nate Payne, Charlotte, NC; a daughter, Kendra Aldous, Eaton, NY; one granddaughter, Kaitlynn Aldous; two brothers, Scott and Kim Aldous, Colton; Tim Aldous, Canton; two half-brothers, Wayne and Barbara Aldous, Parish; Aaron and Georgy, Lisbon; a half-sister, Charmayne and Paul Jett, Texas as well as several step siblings and nieces and nephews.
Born in Potsdam, NY on August 17, 1964 to Robert and Sue Aldous, Robert graduated from school and served in the U.S. Army. Upon his return home, he worked for various business locally, working on farms as well as cooking at several restaurants, including the Rib Trader in Canton and restaurants in South Colton and Massena. Robert had a love of the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing and enjoyed watching sports, cooking and socializing with his family and friends.
