May it be your journey on
To light the day
When the night is overcome
You may rise to find the sun
a promise lives within you now

Dear Michael I love you very much . I will miss you like no other. You were a good friend and that is more than money can buy . Barbara i am so sad you have lost your Michael. I remember the day when i said I wanted to introduce you two and from that day forward he was yours and you were his.. The best way to a mans heart is through his stomach and your cooking wooed him in and there he stayed. I remember the wedding on Halloween and i remember the avon selling and going to your home on adam road and Mike sitting there feet propped up over the edge of the table. I remember the tragic fire and i remember the laughter Mike and you always shared. I remember you opening your doors to all the stray kids in the area to lay down and eat and sleep. You and Mike always kept the home fires burning for all the kids to come and sleep and even stay until they moved on.. There is something to be said about all that .. You both gave endlessly to helping others. I remember winters when someone needed help and Mike was the first out the door.. He never gave thought of his own safety but he headed head long into the storm of winter to rescue another. I remember his vibrant laugh and infectious smile... His famous words are " ahhh how do you say it " and then he would continue ... He made this world more colorful with his wit and story telling.. His stories were of his time in life and the war .. his stories were of kids and things of the world whether they be right or wrong. He was opinionated with great truths to follow.. I will surely miss him... he stood for what he felt was right even in the face of great opposition he never faltered nor grew faint of heart .. He wore his brave face when speaking of his cancer and immanent death .. He wanted the world to know he was not concerned about his life and well being .. But somehow deep inside his smiling eyes i saw his heart ache and he knew i had ... I said " Mike i want you to know how you will be missed by me and many others... and he said I know Bon but what can i say .. this is one thing i cant fight and win if i could i would ..." You sleep Michael and may the good lord send his very best angel to come for you and may you dwell in the house of the Lord until we all gather and be together again forever and no sickness nor tears nor bad things will happen again ... Take Care Barbara for your road is one of loneliness and sorrow and your adult children as well.. I pray all the memories you all possess will bring about a smile through tears and know he will be but a breath away from you all ...
