NORWOOD—Graveside services for 78 year old Mary M. Maxin, a resident of the St. Regis Nursing Home in Massena and formerly of Elm Street, Norwood, will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Riverside Cemetery in Norwood with Pastor David Tulloch presiding. Mary passed away at the St. Regis Nursing Home on Friday, November 25, 2016. Mary is survived by two sons, Ricky and Cathy Maxin, Vestal, NY; Daryl Maxin, Norwood; a daughter, Shari and Scott Kocik, Endicott, NY; her beloved granddaughter, Teny Simons; two great-great grandchildren, Dylan and Justin Simons and a special niece, Joan Eurto. Born in Ogdensburg, NY on April 1, 1938 to the late Marion LaFleur, Mary married Clifford K. Maxin on August 31, 1956. Clifford passed away on October 11, 2012. Mary worked as an Telephone Operator for AT&T for 26 years, retiring in 1989. Mary was a member of the United Methodist Church Choir and the Telephone Pioneers Association. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed crocheting, going to bingo and taking yearly trips to Daytona Beach, FL. Memorial Donations in her memory can be made to a charity of one's choice.
